Pre-Vocational and Vocational Training

After completion of special school education and training in daily living activities and functional academics, the autistic, the mentally challenged and students with other disabilities should undergo pre-vocational and vocational training (after 12 to 15 years of age depending on individual progress). The purpose of starting a well-equipped vocational training unit is that the students, after completion of vocational training, may either find a job or keep themselves occupied by forming a self-help group with their family members for doing business for livelihood. The Govt. of India has started a marketing organization to help them and is also providing soft loans to support such self-help groups / self-employed individuals. The students learn varied skills according to their interest and capabilities.
