Cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a disorder that affects muscle tone, movement, and motor skills (the ability to move in a coordinated and purposeful way). CP is usually caused by brain damage that occurs before or during a child's birth, or during the first 3 to 5 years of a child's life. The causes of cerebral palsy include prematurity, genetic disorders, strokes, and infection of the brain.

At AHEAD, a team of special educators and specialists like psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and speech therapist help in the treatment and improvement of the affected child to make him/her as independent as possible. Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that can involve brain and nervous system functions, such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing, and thinking. It can be managed with a wide range of treatments and therapies. Care and therapy is determined by the extent of impairment and severity level. Most children with neurological impairment have significant emotional distress and also require therapy from our expertpsychologist.

We offer our best support and effort to the children and their parents.
